In the heart of Burundi, in a world suspended between past and future, a new universe emerges where resistance is sung. It is here that Matalusa, a runaway mine worker, and Neptune, an intersex hacker, meet. For both, a journey begins in which identities, bodies, and realities fuse, carried along by rhythms and visions.

Neptune Frost is a continuous flow of music and images that breaks with conventional storytelling. Unlike in many musicals, the songs do not interrupt the plot; they are its very essence! Amidst raw electronic sounds, ritualistic chants, and recycled technology, a unique audio-visual world unfolds, in which a new, Afrofuturist mythology takes shape. Directors Anisia Uzeyman and Saul Williams create an intense, sensory experience tailor-made for the big screen and for anyone interested not just in watching cinema, but in experiencing and rethinking it.
